Creator profile: pin down who this person is

The most common mistake when vetting creators is looking only at follower count. get_creator returns profile-level data (followers, post count, bio, verification); you need the post data from list_creator_posts to judge whether the followers are real or bought.

Parameter

ParameterRequiredValue
platformYestiktok / instagram / youtube / twitter / douyin / xiaohongshu
creatorYesAccount handle (without the @) or the platform's internal id

What the profile alone tells you

The follower-to-post ratio, whether the bio names a clear niche, and whether the account is verified — those three alone filter out half the repost and marketing accounts. Engagement quality needs post data, see list_creator_posts.

Response fields

Creators share one structure: handle / name / bio / followers / following / posts / verified / avatar / url. Individual fields may be null on some platforms; the meaning does not change.

Database tips

Use (platform, handle) as the key, re-pull the profile and recent posts once a week, and you can compute follower growth and the change in median engagement — the API only returns snapshots; the growth curve is something you build up yourself.

FAQ

Can I get emails or business quotes?
No. Only the publicly visible profile is returned; contact details are for you to negotiate.
Follower count does not match the platform dashboard?
Numbers on public pages refresh asynchronously; the API returns the public value at that moment, so align the timestamp when comparing across sources.
Can the handle include the @?
Pass the username without the @ — platforms differ in how they tolerate the symbol.
