Using the trending list without wasting it

The list alone means little; the real work is the second step: take ranks 3–10 (not rank 1 — the top entry is usually a big event you cannot ride) and run them through search_posts for one round, and see what shape the content takes and what the comments are asking.

Response fields

Each item carries rank, title/topic, hot value and a link. Hot value is the platform's own metric and is not comparable across platforms.

Mainland platform note

Douyin sits in the mainland platform group. New accounts can try it 5 times for free, then need $30 in cumulative top-ups on the account to unlock it; overseas platforms work as soon as you register.
