4 steps to connect
- VS Code 1.102+ has built-in MCP support: run `MCP: Add Server` from the Command Palette and choose HTTP.
- Or edit `.vscode/mcp.json` (workspace level) and paste the config above.
- Switch Copilot Chat to Agent mode and busybee's 10 tools show up in the tool list.
- Use an input variable such as `${input:busybee-key}` for the key instead of hardcoding it into mcp.json.

"busybee": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://lucydomi.com/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

}
}Note
VS Code's mcp.json accepts `${env:VAR}` to reference environment variables, which beats hardcoding.
What you can do after setup
Searching keywords for topics, pulling a given account's recent posts, comparing the same subject across platforms, reading the share of questions in the comments as a demand signal — none of it needs scraping code from you. The model picks the tools itself.

}FAQ
Do I need to write code?
No. Every step on this page happens inside the client's own interface.
Can the key leak?
Stick to the client's own credential store or an environment variable reference, and never commit the key.
Can I use the China platforms right away?
Overseas platforms work right after sign-up; Douyin and Xiaohongshu give new accounts 5 free trial calls (no balance deducted), after which a cumulative top-up of $30 unlocks them.
