Social media data from six platforms,
One protocol into your AI

TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X (Twitter), Douyin and Xiaohongshu creator profiles, post details, comments and trending lists, unified into 10 tools. Call them from Claude, Cursor, Dify, n8n or your own code with an API key, with no per-platform parser to maintain.

Platform capability matrix

The same parameters and the same response fields, so no code changes across platforms. New accounts get 5 free calls on domestic platforms (no balance deducted); the feature unlocks at a cumulative top-up of $30.

Only capabilities that genuinely work are listed. Anything a platform does not expose is simply not offered: no features that look available and fail when called.

10 tools, consistent parameters

Flexible parameter names: id, handle, @handle, content links and Chinese platform names (“Douyin”, “Xiaohongshu”) are all accepted, so the AI needs no briefing.

Check balance and usage

Three steps to connect

Endpoint: https://lucydomi.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP transport; clients that only support the older HTTP+SSE transport use https://lucydomi.com/sse)

Sign up and create a key

Console → API keys → New. The key is a string that starts with sk-. Leave the quota field blank — the system treats this as “the key shares the account balance”: every key draws on the account balance, and you can also set a separate cap on an individual key. Overseas platforms work as soon as you sign up. New accounts get 5 free calls on domestic platforms (no balance deducted); after that a cumulative top-up of $30 is required.

Add the endpoint and key to your client

Clients that support MCP (Claude Desktop, Cursor, agent frameworks) add one remote server; anything without MCP support calls the same API over REST.

// MCP configuration for Claude Desktop / Cursor and similar clients
{ "mcpServers": { "social-data": { "type": "streamable-http", "url": "https://lucydomi.com/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer sk-your-key" } } } }

Ask in natural language, or call REST directly

Once connected, just ask: “Which TikTok videos about coffee are taking off right now?” The AI picks the tools on its own. You can also call REST straight from code:

# search posts
curl -X POST https:

# comment insights
curl -X POST https:

Workflow platforms such as Dify / n8n / Coze: treat the REST /mcp/v1/<tool_name> as a plain HTTP node and pass integers and strings as shown in the example; every response has the shape {"ok":true,"count":N,"items":[…]}.

Why use it

Consistent fields

All six platforms return the same fields: id, handle, name, followers, stats, created_at. Switching platform needs no code change.

Error handling built for AI

Links, @handles and Chinese platform names are all recognized; missing parameters return an actionable message instead of a bare 400.

Pay per call

No monthly fee, no plan lock-in. The price of each call is returned in the response, and usage is visible at any time.

Read-only operations

No publishing, liking, following or account permissions, just read-only data access, so wiring it into your product carries no side effects.

Two transports

MCP for clients that support the protocol, REST for anything that can send an HTTP request; both paths behave identically.

Only what works ships

Capabilities a platform does not expose are not listed; a broken endpoint is fixed before it goes live, so customers do not hit our bugs.

FAQ

Do I have to use MCP, or can I send plain HTTP requests?

Yes. The REST endpoint POST https://lucydomi.com/mcp/v1/<tool_name> takes the tool parameters as its request body and authenticates with the same key. MCP simply lets AI clients that support the protocol discover and call these tools automatically.

What if I lose a key or want to replace it?

Create or disable keys in the console at any time; disabling takes effect immediately.

What if a new key returns “insufficient quota”?

This means the key was created before that change. Edit it in the console key list, tick “Unlimited quota” and save; it takes effect immediately. New keys do not need this step: leave the quota blank and the key shares the account balance automatically.

Why do domestic platforms require a top-up?

Data from the two domestic platforms costs noticeably more to acquire, and those platforms impose more restrictions. The cumulative top-up threshold exists to filter out abuse. New accounts get 5 free calls on domestic platforms (no balance deducted); the feature unlocks once the account has topped up $30 in total, and the quota then works as usual.

Can I store the returned data for analysis?

Yes. Follow the data usage policy at the bottom of the page: compliant analysis and research only, never harassment, doxxing, bulk marketing spam or any unlawful use.

Which clients are supported?

Any MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP works. Clients limited to the older SSE transport should use the /sse endpoint; anything without MCP support calls REST directly.

For AI agents

No hand-written config. Install this skill file into your agent (Claude Code: ~/.claude/skills/busybee/, Codex / Cursor: their own skills directory) and it reads the docs, picks a platform, calls tools and tracks spend on its own.

stdio-only clients (such as Claude Desktop): uvx busybee-mcp, with the environment variable BUSYBEE_API_KEY. The package is published on PyPI (busybee-mcp), and it is also in the official MCP Registry (io.github.danfeistar/busybee).
